(b. 1997) Kyle Lamond (MISTD) is a graphic designer based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a focus on (but not limited to) editorial and identity design. Currently working as an Junior Designer @ Felt Design, his work draws inspiration largely from precise methodologies present within architectural practices, with a specific interest in brutalism. He is deeply influenced by the austere yet audacious form and structure that brutalism imposes and strives to mould this aesthetic directly into his work, with attention to Swiss-style techniques, by building a solid structural foundation that can successfully display an informed use of grids and a profound understanding of balance and hierarchy.
Kyle graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone’s College of Art & Design (2021) with an honours degree in graphic design. Previously spending 3 years studying visual communication @ Edinburgh’s Telford College (2018), and a one year tenure as a junior designer @ WeAreHype (2019), he is a highly skilled and professional individual with a acute understanding of typography and composition. He can produce work to a professional standard across a diverse range of digital and print outcomes.
